to use technology.
Class situation: regular history lesson
Lesson subject: Industrialization in Europe
Description: The teacher asked the class how they feel, how their weekend was. After that she take absent of the class and asked the students to put their history book on the table. She tells the class that the lesson will be about “Industrialization in Europe”. One students asked the teacher if she made a mistake because “Europe” is a subject of geography. There is a small discuss about it with student and teacher. Student want to search Europe as continent at google map in their mobile. The teacher don’t want to see mobiles on de desk of the student. The students asked the teacher about Facebook, WhatsApp and other mobile gadgets, but the teacher is very angry about this manner of the students. She give the student the task to read a paragraph of the chapter and go out of the class to report this to the principle. Out of the class she met her colleague Mildred, the geography teacher.
3. Write the arguments you would use to make sure this teacher could be possible influenced to use technology
Mrs. Mildred were late that that they because her alarm clock didn’t rings that morning. She woke up late when the alarm of her mobile rings, but luckily she was free the first 2 lessons. Mrs. Mildred ask Mrs. Granny what happened, why she looks so angry. She told the story of the class to Mrs. Mildred, and Mrs. Mildred took Mrs. Granny to the teacher’s room and tell her the story what happened to her. Suddenly Mrs. Granny asked of it is possible to put a daily alarm on a mobile. Because her alarm clock is broken and a new one is too expensive. Mrs. Mildred shows Mrs. Granny the options about the alarm setting but also what the students tell her about during the history lesson. Mrs. Granny get interested in the options of the mobiles and how she can use it in her class. Mrs. Granny promise to talk to her students and will take some course to use mobiles during her lesson.
